Iron Maiden, the legendary British heavy metal band, is set to return to the Region of Murcia to headline the Rock Imperium Festival in Cartagena, taking place from the third to the fifth of July, two thousand and twenty-six. This marks their first appearance since their last visit two years ago, and their involvement is expected to elevate the festival to new heights. Organisers assure that this year’s event will be the most ambitious yet, particularly with Iron Maiden taking centre stage.

The festival has previously hosted illustrious names in rock, including Scorpions, Deep Purple, and Kiss, but the addition of Iron Maiden promises to enhance the festival’s appeal enormously. Alongside Iron Maiden, the line-up will feature power metal giants Sabaton and American metalcore pioneers Trivium, both making their debut performances in Cartagena. Their inclusion signifies a strong commitment to showcasing the best of the heavy metal genre.

Returning to the festival after a well-received performance in two thousand and twenty-four, the Scandinavian band Heat will bring their energetic hard rock sound back to the port city. In addition, Dutch gothic innovators The Gathering and American progressive legends Queensrÿche will grace the stage, incorporating influences from notable acts like Dream Theater and Fates Warning.

Completing the first wave of confirmed artists are Italian favourites Lacuna Coil, the dark and experimental Dogma, and progressive acts Crimson Glory, along with Japanese groups Hagane and Triskel. This diverse array of talent adds to the international flavour of the line-up for the highly anticipated Rock Imperium Festival.
