A thirty-one-year-old Spanish man has been detained by the Guardia Civil on suspicion of drug trafficking in Bigastro. The arrest occurred during a routine vehicle identification check near a nightclub on the morning of twenty-fourth August, when officers noticed the driver appeared excessively nervous. Upon searching the vehicle, they found an open dose of cocaine which led to a more thorough examination.

Inside the car, the officers discovered numerous bags containing various illicit substances, all divided into individual doses ready for sale. The total haul included ninety-seven tablets of MDMA, fifty-eight grams of crystal, fifty-eight grams of speed, thirty-one grams of cocaine, and four grams of pink cocaine, alongside various denominations of cash.

After being taken into custody, the suspect was brought before the Juzgado de Instrucción number one in Orihuela, where he was released on bail, pending further investigation. The seized drugs have been sent to the Health Department of the Government Subdelegation in Alicante for analysis. This incident underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region.
