The Local Police of Almoradí have initiated proceedings against a driver who was caught driving negligently in the urban area, posing a risk to other road users. The incident occurred over the weekend and has been reported to the court of instruction on duty. Upon being intercepted by officers, it was found that the driver did not hold a valid driving licence due to having depleted all points on their record, which renders the licence invalid.

This offence falls under Article three hundred and eighty-four of the Penal Code, which specifically penalises driving motor vehicles without the appropriate licence. The individual is currently under investigation and may face a prison sentence of three to six months, a fine ranging from twelve to twenty-four months, or community service lasting between thirty-one and ninety days, depending on the judicial decision based on current legislation.

The Local Police of Almoradí has emphasised that driving without a licence is not only a serious legal violation but also poses a direct threat to road safety. The quick response of the officers and community cooperation were crucial in preventing more severe consequences. Authorities continue to urge the public to report any such incidents to enhance safety on local roads.
