A Jet2 flight from Leeds Bradford to Alicante was compelled to return to the UK on Monday, August eighteenth, due to a rowdy passenger. The flight, designated LS491, took off at six forty-one PM but turned back over Leicester, landing in Leeds Bradford by seven twenty-six PM.

Video footage taken on board captured the disturbance, showing the man in an orange T-shirt and jeans taunting other passengers and insisting on fighting one of them. Despite warnings from fellow passengers about being removed from the flight, the situation escalated until a police officer boarded the aircraft.

As the officer approached, other passengers reacted with cheers. The disruptive individual, who was visibly agitated, continued to confront another man before he was detained by the officer. This prompted applause and cheers from relieved passengers.

The troublemaker, a thirty-year-old from Doncaster, faces charges for entering an aircraft while drunk and has been bailed to appear before Leeds magistrates on Monday, September eighth. A spokesperson from Jet2 confirmed that he has been banned from flying with the airline for six months due to his appalling behaviour, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a family-friendly environment and a zero-tolerance policy towards disruptive passengers.
