A nine-year-old boy and a thirty-seven-year-old woman were seriously injured on Sunday in a boating incident in La Manga, San Javier. According to the Emergency Coordination Centre, witnesses reported the accident at seven eleven in the evening, stating that a child had been severely hurt and was being taken to Tomás Maestre Port.

Emergency services, including Civil Protection, local police, and a Mobile Emergency Unit, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival at the port, they confirmed that both a boy and a woman had sustained serious injuries.

After being stabilised, the injured were transported by ambulances from the Emergency Service of the Region of Murcia to Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital. Their conditions are serious, and further updates on their health have yet to be provided.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation by local authorities to understand how the accident occurred and to prevent similar events in the future.
