A bather died on Sunday, July twentieth, two thousand twenty-five, after being rescued from the water at Playa de Manzanares in Los Alcázares. The incident took place at around one thirty PM, when lifeguards from the surveillance post became aware of a swimmer who was unconscious near the boundary of Playa de Manzanares and Playa El Espejo.
Upon reaching the individual, the lifeguards immediately commenced cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Their efforts continued until the Mobile Emergency Unit arrived to assist with the situation.
Despite the lifeguards’ attempts and the intervention of emergency services, they could only certify the death on site. The authorities are likely to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
This event highlights the importance of vigilance in and around water to ensure the safety of all beachgoers.
