Torrevieja’s municipal authorities have approved a new contract worth one million two hundred eight thousand euros for the operation of beach services, including loungers, umbrellas, and water recreation equipment. This contract comes after a public tender process, awarding the service to a joint venture of Actividades Torrevieja S.L. and Baliser Equipamientos de Playas S.L.

The successful consortium will operate across four beaches: La Mata, Los Locos, El Cura, and Los Náufragos. The service will be split into three periods: the first from March fifteenth to May thirty-first, the peak season from June first to September thirtieth, and the last from October first to thirty-first.

La Mata, being the largest beach, will feature eight different points for loungers and umbrellas, with varied space allocation depending on the season. Additionally, the peak season will offer non-motorised water activities, such as pedal boats and motorised options.

At Los Locos beach, there will be one point for loungers and umbrellas, while at El Cura and Los Náufragos, the tender allows a specific allocation of space. Each location’s umbrella count will correspond to the designated area, ensuring that visitors have ample amenities during the operational periods.
