The Civil Guard and National Police have successfully dismantled a criminal organisation in Guardamar involved in synthetic drug trafficking. Authorities arrested three Polish men and confiscated a substantial amount of two hundred and three kilograms of drugs, which included both pills and powder form. The suspects are currently in provisional custody without bail after being brought before the Torrevieja court.

The investigation, part of a security plan for leisure areas, was initiated due to the group’s suspicious lifestyle. A local Citizen Security patrol observed a large capacity van that attempted to evade police presence. Upon interception, police officers insisted on searching the vehicle despite the occupants’ objections, leading to the discovery of a sophisticated electronic locking mechanism that concealed a significant amount of synthetic drugs hidden in electrical material boxes.

In addition to the drugs, which amounted to approximately three hundred and thirty-four thousand doses, officers searched the suspects’ residence in Guardamar. There, they confiscated sixteen thousand two hundred sixty-five euros in cash, industrial machinery for drug manufacturing, precision scales, vacuum packagers, and various relevant documents.

The arrested individuals, aged thirty-three, thirty-seven, and forty, face charges of belonging to a criminal group, drug trafficking, and money laundering. This operation marks a significant blow to international drug trafficking networks and contributes to public health protection and safety in tourist areas.
