A man was arrested in San Javier for alleged document fraud following a confrontation at a hotel. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when hotel staff contacted emergency services after the man displayed aggressive behaviour when asked for his payment and identification. He reportedly damaged hotel property and filmed staff members before leaving the premises shouting.

Local police located the man nearby and he presented a photocopy of what he claimed was an Italian identity card. However, officers noted inconsistencies in the document’s appearance and printing. Further investigation at the Guardia Civil revealed his true identity, which included a criminal record.

In addition to the falsified documents, authorities found multiple doses of cocaine in his possession during the arrest. He was subsequently detained for document falsification and drug-related offences.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns around document fraud and drug use in the region, prompting local law enforcement to remain vigilant in tackling such issues.
