The Guardia Civil has successfully arrested four people, two men and two women, in Torrevieja as part of a crackdown on drug trafficking. These individuals are accused of committing crimes against public health and receiving stolen goods after authorities dismantled a drug-selling operation that was functioning from a home in a residential area.

The investigation initiated following numerous reports from the community about suspicious activity in the neighbourhood, including a constant flow of visitors, drug consumption in common areas, and the presence of minors around the alleged dealers. Officers from the Torrevieja Main Post confirmed that the suspects frequently left their home with minors, potentially using them as a distraction for quick drug transactions in the vicinity.

During a surveillance operation, Guardia Civil agents apprehended the suspects while they were engaged in a drug exchange. Following the arrests, investigators conducted a search of the property, discovering hashish, cocaine, cash, packaging materials, and various items of illicit origin, including a laptop reported stolen in Madrid.

The suspects, all Spanish nationals between the ages of forty-one and fifty-three with prior criminal records, have been placed at the disposal of the Torrevieja Court of Instruction Number One, which has released them with precautionary measures. The Guardia Civil emphasised the crucial role played by local community cooperation in initiating and resolving this operation.
