In a significant operation, the National Police has dismantled a suspected drug trafficking network in Murcia. The crackdown took place on Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of at least five individuals and the seizure of approximately twenty-five kilos of cocaine. This operation was carried out following extensive surveillance and intelligence-gathering by law enforcement authorities.

Police executed simultaneous searches in the districts of Era Alta and Ronda Sur. One of the searches took place in a building in southern Murcia, where officers intervened in a private garage just as two suspects entered in a car. The police surrounded the vehicle and apprehended the occupants, with reports indicating that one suspect resisted arrest, prompting an officer to use an issued defensive tool.

Authorities have confirmed that additional searches were conducted at a residence in Era Alta, where further arrests were made. The cocaine found during the inspections was predominantly of high purity and hid in various compartments within the properties searched.

The investigation, which remains confidential, has not ruled out the possibility of more arrests and further searches as law enforcement continues to gather evidence against the suspects involved in this drug trafficking operation. A police spokesperson remarked on the careful preparations that facilitated this significant intervention.
