Alicante-Elche Airport has announced that May twenty twenty-five has set a record with one million, eight hundred and fifty thousand, six hundred and twenty passengers, reflecting a five point eight percent increase compared to May twenty twenty-four. This achievement makes it the fifth consecutive month of record traffic for the airport.

In addition to passenger numbers, flight operations also reached new heights. The airport reported a total of eleven thousand, six hundred and ninety-seven flights for the month, which signifies a six point two percent rise in operations compared to the same month last year.

International travel continues to dominate at the airport, with one million, six hundred and twenty-four thousand, six hundred and sixty-four passengers flying internationally, representing a seven point five percent increase. In contrast, domestic travel saw a decline of five percent, with two hundred and twenty-four thousand, six hundred and twenty-three travellers.

So far this year, Alicante-Elche Airport has welcomed over seven million, two hundred and eighty-two thousand, seven hundred and eighty-five passengers from January to May, marking a ten point nine percent increase from the same period last year. In total, forty-six thousand, six hundred and eighty-one flights have been managed, which is an eleven point five percent growth compared to twenty twenty-four.
