In the early hours of Tuesday morning, two masked individuals executed a robbery at La Hita service station, located on the motorway heading towards San Javier. Arriving in a blue Seat León shortly after four am, the thieves displayed an unusual level of calm, spending more than five minutes attempting to gain access.

Security footage reveals that the robbers first tried to force the metal shutter of the main entrance. After failing to open it, they smashed through the shutter leading to the service counter with a hammer. One of the assailants entered the office, which does not house a shop, and proceeded to the cash register.

During the incident, the robber took cash and scanned the room before pausing in front of a cigarette machine. After considering whether to force it open, he ultimately decided to leave it untouched. The surveillance video highlights the serene manner in which the robbery unfolded, with the perpetrator remaining in view of the cameras for several minutes.

The Civil Guard has initiated an investigation into the incident and is analysing the video recordings in hopes of identifying the individuals involved.
