At IES Valle de Leiva in Alhama de Murcia, classes were suspended for the second day in a row as the heat became unbearable. Meanwhile, students at the secondary school in Cartagena, El Bohío, opted to leave their classrooms post-break, choosing to gather outdoors for relief from the oppressing temperature.

In Murcia, the Colegio Santiago and Zaraiche had to act quickly to fix the outdated electrical system, enabling the activation of air conditioning units. Teachers and unions have raised concerns about the extreme heat affecting their ability to educate in comfortable environments.
