The Town Hall of Almoradí is advancing with the signing of a new contract for urban cleaning services and waste collection. This follows a decision by the Central Administrative Tribunal of Contractual Resources, which dismissed a challenge from a competing company. The contract, notable for its scope and value, emanates from a public tender initiated at the beginning of two thousand and twenty-four, with PreZero securing the contract by achieving the highest overall score based on technical and economic criteria.

The process featured objective and transparent technical reports from the relevant municipal services, establishing a clear foundation for the Tribunal’s decision. The procedure was submitted to the Tribunal on the twenty-seventh of February, and on the sixth of March, the Tribunal ordered a precautionary suspension for analysis. Ultimately, on the twenty-third of May, the Tribunal upheld the contract approval.

Domingo Andreu, the responsible councillor, highlighted that the Tribunal supports the work carried out by the Contracting Board and the municipal technical services. He confirmed that the process was completed with full legality, objectivity, and in compliance with public procurement principles.

María Gómez, the Mayor of Almoradí, expressed satisfaction with the Tribunal’s ruling, stating that it is now time to move forward with the awarded contract. The project promises significant improvements in urban cleaning services and waste collection, especially in peripheral areas, and marks a priority for the current administration that had faced delays but is now set to advance.
