Authorities have arrested a fugitive from France in Los Alcázares. The suspect, wanted for violent kidnapping, was apprehended by the Guardia Civil during Operation Patinkin. After initially providing false identity details, he was identified by specialists in Judicial Police. The suspect is linked to a kidnapping incident that occurred in late two thousand twenty-three in Saubens, France, where a kidnapped individual was found injured and bound at a cliff’s edge.

The violent act appears to be associated with a drug debt, which led to the French authorities searching for the suspect after he fled the country shortly after the crime. They believed he might be hiding in the Levante region of Spain.

The Guardia Civil’s investigation led them to the fugitive when he was detained for disobedience in Los Alcázares. During this incident, he failed to present valid documentation, prompting a thorough identification effort. He has now been placed at the disposal of the National Court for extradition.
