In Elche, the Pimesa Board has initiated plans for a new residential development in the Travalón neighbourhood. The approved project includes seventy-six affordable rental homes, backed by a total budget of six point seven million euros, of which two point nine million euros comes from the European Next Generation funds.

Construction of the building will take a maximum of twenty months and will also create commercial premises and a parking garage with seventy-five spaces. This initiative aims to address social housing needs in the area.

The new building, located at number six on Calle Maestro Ángel Llorca, will be entirely dedicated to affordable rentals for a period of fifty years. The project has been designed with sustainability in mind, ensuring compliance with environmental standards for waste management, labelling, and climate protection.

Local officials have expressed their commitment to meeting community needs through this development, reflecting a proactive approach to housing and sustainability in Elche.
