The Ayuntamiento de Catral has announced that the equestrian show ‘Sol y sombra’, originally scheduled for this Saturday, has been postponed to Saturday, the third of May at nine PM. This decision comes in light of the unstable condition of the ground caused by rainfall on Tuesday. Ensuring safety was a key factor in this decision.

The local council engaged in discussions with the professionals responsible for setting up the show before arriving at this conclusion. They emphasised that the prioritisation of safety for participants, audience, and animals was necessary, given the terrain’s unsuitability for such an event.

The authorities pointed out that alternative options were considered before deciding on this postponement. The safety of all involved, including the horses, remains of utmost importance.

Despite the postponement of the equestrian show, the rest of the activities associated with the Feria de Abril will continue as planned. The community is still in for a range of festivities in the coming days.
