A sixty-two year old man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle in Orihuela Costa. The incident occurred on the evening of the accident, prompting immediate action from emergency services.
The Centre for Information and Coordination of Emergencies, known as CICU, received an alert regarding the incident. A medical emergency team from the Urgent Medical Care Service, SAMU, was dispatched to the scene.
The injured man was assessed on-site before being transported to the Hospital de Torrevieja due to multiple traumas. Medical staff at the hospital are currently attending to his injuries.
Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine how the accident occurred. Further updates on the man’s condition are expected as he receives treatment.
