A dramatic incident unfolded yesterday afternoon in Torrevieja when a vehicle crashed through the front of a local lottery shop. At around three o’clock, residents near the intersection of Joaquin Chapaprieta and Antonio Machado were startled by a loud noise. Eyewitnesses recounted that a car ignored a Stop sign and collided with a vehicle that was lawfully driving, sending the latter crashing into the Administración de Loterías Número tres ‘La Bella Lola’.

The impact caused significant damage as the vehicle smashed completely through the shop’s window and partially entered the premises. Fortunately, the shop was closed at the time of the accident, which prevented any injuries from occurring. Local reports indicate that the shop frequently has customers inside, highlighting the narrow escape this time.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the actions of the driver who failed to stop. Witness accounts will likely play a crucial role in determining the cause of this alarming incident. Residents expressed relief that no one was injured, but many are calling for increased safety measures at the busy junction.

The Administración de Loterías Número tres ‘La Bella Lola’ is now dealing with the aftermath of the incident as they assess the damage.
