On Monday afternoon, a thirty-nine year old man stabbed a man and a woman at their home in the Orihuela Costa area. The incident took place in La Regia around half past five, where the assailant, believed to be suffering from a psychological disorder, attacked his sister and brother-in-law. The victims sustained serious injuries, including significant wounds to the neck of the sixty-three year old brother-in-law.
The attacker, who is of Bulgarian origin, used a knife and then fled the scene in a white Volkswagen Tiguan. Authorities, including the Guardia Civil, are currently searching for the suspect, who managed to evade capture.
Fortunately, the victims are reported to be out of danger following the attack. The Guardia Civil has urged anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward.
This violent incident has raised concerns in the local community, as safety remains a priority for residents of Orihuela Costa.
