A man has been arrested in Cartagena as part of a Guardia Civil operation into a series of thefts across Cabo de Palos, El Algar and Pilar de la Horadada. The Vega Baja University Hospital has announced plans to open a new Paediatric Rehabilitation Unit as part of its service expansion. Torrevieja court agent avoids prison after fraud agreement

A court agent who worked for Torrevieja City Council for decades has accepted a two-year prison sentence after reaching an agreement with prosecutors in a fraud case involving municipal funds. He admitted diverting almost 37,000 euros in court-awarded costs into his personal bank account and has repaid nearly all of the money.
