A man arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old Algerian man in Torrevieja has been released without bail by court order. Boy injured after golf buggy falls three metres in Rojales

An eight-year-old boy has been injured after a golf buggy left the road and fell from a bridge at sports facilities in the municipality of Rojales. According to the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium, the vehicle dropped approximately three metres. Emergency services received the alert at 5.09pm on Monday. Man, 83, dies while snorkelling at Benidorm beach

An 83-year-old man has died while snorkelling at Poniente beach in Benidorm on Sunday. The Alicante Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) dispatched a SAMU ambulance to the scene. The medical team carried out advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other stabilisation procedures in an attempt to save him. Despite their efforts, the man did not respond to treatment and was pronounced dead at the scene. Torrevieja approves new telecoms bylaw to curb visual clutter

Torrevieja City Council has unanimously approved a new telecommunications bylaw designed to tackle the spread of cables, poles and equipment across public streets and building façades.
