An 83-year-old man has died while snorkelling at Poniente beach in Benidorm on Sunday. The Alicante Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) dispatched a SAMU ambulance to the scene. The medical team carried out advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other stabilisation procedures in an attempt to save him. Torrevieja City Council has unanimously approved a new telecommunications bylaw designed to tackle the spread of cables, poles and equipment across public streets and building façades.
