Las Salinas de Torrevieja has opened a new visitor attraction, giving residents and tourists another way to experience one of the city’s most distinctive landscapes. The establishment is open every day and brings together different varieties of salt, selected local products, handmade souvenirs, snacks and drinks.

The opening ceremony was attended by Torrevieja’s deputy mayor and tourism councillor, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, alongside Las Salinas industrial director Joseph Pérez, human resources manager Victoria Carreño, safety manager Pedro García and tourism manager Beatriz Almarcha. Former salt workers and representatives from the city’s social and business communities also attended.

The new space highlights Torrevieja’s close relationship with salt production and its importance to the city’s history and identity. Visitors can taste different salts, learn about their characteristics and uses, and buy products connected with the salt works, as well as locally made souvenirs.

The attraction is open from Monday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 16:00 to 20:00. It combines local tradition, products and tourism around one of Torrevieja’s best-known natural resources.
