The Guardia Civil has dismantled an alleged criminal organisation involved in selling drugs in Torrevieja, Alicante, and arrested 14 people. The group consists of eight men and six women aged between 25 and 77. They are accused of drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal organisation.

The investigation began after residents reported constant visitors at a property, strong smells, excessive noise and conflicts with suspected drug users. Officers identified four homes linked to the operation: two were used to store and distribute drugs, while the other two were used for street-level sales.

During simultaneous searches of the four properties, officers seized 160 grams of cocaine, 50.5 grams of cocaine base and 183 grams of cannabis. They also recovered €975 in cash, two compressed-air pistols, two cars, a personal mobility vehicle and equipment used to prepare the drugs for distribution.

The operation involved Guardia Civil security units from Alicante and Torrevieja, a reserve and security group from Valencia, and drug- and cash-detection dogs. The 14 detainees appeared before the Torrevieja court and were released under precautionary measures.
