The tourism boom in the Region of Murcia this summer has been reflected strongly in the sector’s employment figures. The region has recorded 1,664 more tourism workers than at the same point last year.
The increase follows a summer with record figures for visitors and revenue across hotels, apartments, campsites, rural houses, restaurants, bars, travel operators and other tourism-related businesses. The figures are also affected by the sector’s clearly seasonal nature.
