Police in Guardamar del Segura have recovered a woman’s lost handbag after tracking the location of a mobile phone inside it.
The phone’s geolocation allowed officers to follow the belongings and gradually narrow the search area. The operation involved the Incident Patrol and the Tango Patrol, whose officers travelled by motorbike.
The coordinated teams eventually found the phone and handbag inside a campsite. Police said the speed, coordination and persistence of the officers were key to recovering the belongings and returning them to their owner.
