San Miguel de Salinas Town Hall has opened the registration period for the 2026 Fiestas Patronales Costume and Float Parade, one of the highlights of the town’s annual celebrations. The event will take place on 26 September 2026 at 7pm and is organised by the Department of Festivities.

Participation in the competition is limited to groups, clubs or associations, represented by an adult. A total of 500 euros in prize money will be awarded: 250 euros for first prize, 150 euros for second, and 100 euros for third place.

Groups wishing to compete must submit the official application form by 15 September at 2pm, either at the Town Hall or through the municipal electronic office. Registration is free, although participants must cover their own costs for costumes, floats and transport. Groups that only wish to parade and not compete do not need to register.

Judges will assess originality, creativity, choreography, staging and float design, including the use of recycled or innovative materials. The decision will be announced at the end of the parade in Plaza de la Libertad, with prize money later paid by bank transfer to the winning groups.
