The Diocese of Orihuela-Alicante has announced three new appointments within VicarÃa I, affecting parishes in Guardamar del Segura, Rojales and AlmoradÃ. The changes were approved on 24 July 2026 by the Bishop of Orihuela-Alicante, José Ignacio Munilla Aguirre.
José MarÃa Galán Valero has been appointed parish priest of the Church of San Jaime Apóstol in Guardamar del Segura. Meanwhile, Manuel Antonio Bernabé Belmonte will take on the role of parish priest at San Pedro in Rojales.
The list of appointments is completed by the designation of Marco Antonio Berná Serna as parish vicar of San Andrés Apóstol in AlmoradÃ. In this case, the appointment will take effect from 17 October 2026.
