A man has died while swimming at Los Náufragos beach in Torrevieja on Monday afternoon. The incident took place at one of the town’s most popular beaches during the busy summer period.
According to local reports, emergency services were alerted and attended the scene. Despite their efforts, the man could not be saved.
The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed. The death has caused concern among beachgoers in the Costa Blanca resort, which attracts large numbers of visitors at this time of year.
