Torrevieja Council has introduced summer parking restrictions on Ramón Gallud from Monday 20 July until the end of August. The measure affects the section between Orihuela and Apolo streets.

During this period, parking will only be allowed overnight between 11pm and 8am. Vehicles must leave the area before 8am each day. The council says the seasonal restriction aims to improve mobility, increase safety and ease the flow of pedestrians and traffic in one of the town’s main commercial streets.

The affected area will be clearly signposted, and residents, traders and visitors are being asked to respect the new timetable to avoid penalties or disruption.

In a separate development, a new internal road within the port area opened on Saturday at 8am. Drivers can now access not only the Leisure Centre car park but also the fish market and Marina Salinas via the road next to the Paseo del Mar Leisure Centre. Traffic diversions on Avenida de la Libertad are also due to begin on Monday as part of ongoing port redevelopment works.
