A 25-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his partner at a campsite in Guardamar del Segura, in the province of Alicante.
According to sources close to the investigation, the incident took place on Friday afternoon. The suspect is said to have fled the scene in a van following the alleged attack.
He was intercepted and arrested shortly afterwards by Local Police officers in neighbouring Santa Pola. Emergency services treated the victim at the scene.
She was later discharged from medical care, as her injuries were not considered serious, according to the same sources.
