San Miguel de Salinas Council has issued a formal notice to the company contracted to provide waste collection and street cleaning services, calling on it to comply fully with the terms of the current agreement.

In an official statement, the council said the action reflects its commitment to guaranteeing a high-quality service and protecting the general interest of residents. It described waste collection and street cleaning as essential services for maintaining cleanliness and public health across the municipality.

The local authority said the requirement forms part of a series of measures designed to ensure the proper functioning of the service. At the same time, it confirmed that the tender process for a new waste collection contract is now in its final stage.

According to the council, the future contract will modernise the service and improve waste collection and street cleaning provision. It reiterated its commitment to keeping San Miguel de Salinas cleaner, better maintained and responsive to the current needs of the community.
