A man has been arrested in San Javier on suspicion of carrying out a series of armed robberies at banks and commercial premises. The Guardia Civil confirmed the arrest as part of Operation Nebuloso 26.
Officers said the suspect allegedly entered the premises carrying a knife, approached an employee and used the weapon to intimidate them until they opened the cash register. Investigators believe he is responsible for seven robberies in the area.
The operation was carried out by the Guardia Civil in response to a number of reported incidents affecting local businesses and bank branches. The investigation is continuing and officers have not ruled out further charges.
