Firefighters from the Alicante Provincial Consortium have extinguished a fire at an industrial laundry in Rojales, where the company’s manager was treated for smoke inhalation.
The alarm was raised at 13:26 on Avenida Justo Quesada, number 21. Emergency services remained at the scene for several hours. Although no serious injuries were reported, the manager required medical attention after inhaling smoke during the incident.
Crews from the Almoradí and Orihuela stations attended, supported by a command unit, a heavy urban pump, a heavy water tanker, a heavy rural pump and a multi-purpose rescue vehicle. The operation involved a sergeant, two corporals and eight firefighters.
The teams worked to control the blaze and secure the affected facilities. The fire was declared extinguished at around 15:00.
