A young man has been arrested in San Javier on suspicion of assault following a violent incident in the early hours of Sunday.
According to Local Police, the suspect allegedly struck another man several times on the head with a glass bottle during a fight. The victim was left semi-conscious on the ground and suffered injuries to his face.
Emergency services attended the scene and transferred the injured man to Los Arcos Hospital for medical treatment. His condition has not been disclosed.
Local Police have confirmed the arrest and said an investigation is ongoing to clarify the full circumstances surrounding the altercation.
