Emergency services operating under the regional coastal emergency plan have rescued a 20-year-old man after he was injured in an incident at El Mojón, in Puerto de Mazarrón.
The young man hit rocks in the area on Sunday and was reportedly struggling to breathe following the impact. Responders brought him safely to shore before paramedics reached the scene.
He was later transferred to Santa Lucía Hospital in Cartagena for further assessment and treatment. No further details about his condition have been released.
