A tipper lorry overturned on Monday afternoon on the CV-91 roundabout in AlmoradÃ, as it was leaving the dual carriageway. The incident happened at 16:37, according to emergency services.
Fire crews attended the scene and assisted the 50-year-old driver, who was able to exit the vehicle by his own means. He was treated for multiple injuries before being transferred by Basic Life Support ambulance to the Vega Baja University Hospital in Orihuela.
Firefighters from the Almoradà station also worked to contain and clear an oil spill on the carriageway to prevent further danger to other road users. Their operation concluded at 17:45, in line with the report from the Provincial Firefighters’ Consortium.
