A gang of up to seven people has ransacked a Cash Converters store in Cartagena during a ram-raid in the early hours of Tuesday.
The masked suspects, armed with axes and sledgehammers, targeted the shop at the Espacio Mediterráneo shopping centre. They reportedly forced entry by driving into the premises before smashing display cabinets inside.
Almost all the items on display were stolen during the raid. The extent of the financial losses has not yet been confirmed.
Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing evidence from the scene as they work to identify those responsible.
