Torrevieja’s population has reached 113,453, according to municipal register data updated on 12 May 2026. The total includes 56,126 men and 57,327 women, confirming the city’s rapid growth and its status as one of the most multicultural municipalities in Spain.

More than 62,000 residents are foreign nationals, while 51,432 are Spanish. The largest international communities are from Ukraine (10,787), Colombia (5,892), Russia (5,834), the United Kingdom (4,671) and Morocco (3,743). Significant numbers also come from countries including Sweden, Romania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy and Germany.

During the first quarter of 2026, 3,568 new registrations were processed, alongside 1,603 address changes and 1,879 renewals by foreign citizens. In April alone, a further 1,355 residents were added to the register. The council also issued 8,167 certificates that month, reflecting increased administrative demand.

City officials say the continued rise in population presents challenges, but efforts are under way to strengthen public services and infrastructure to support Torrevieja’s expanding and diverse community.
