San Javier’s local police has officially introduced four new Ford Kuga patrol vehicles to their fleet. The initiative was announced by Mayor José Miguel Luengo and Councillor responsible for Local Police, Alba Sánchez. The modern hybrid patrol cars, now fully operational, come equipped with advanced safety features tailored for policing duties. This acquisition is part of a commitment to enhance the efficiency and safety of police operations in the region.

These four vehicles were procured through a three-year leasing scheme, costing a total of two hundred and forty thousand euros. They feature a uniform corporate visual design aimed at standardising the appearance of the Local Police across the Murcia Region. Mayor Luengo emphasised the importance of such vehicles, stating that they provide the necessary guarantees for patrol operations.

Additionally, Councillor Sánchez announced plans for future upgrades including a new four by four vehicle slated for arrival within the next few months. The council aims to continuously improve and expand the police fleet to ensure that officers can perform their duties under optimal conditions.

Luengo reiterated that the investment in the Local Police of San Javier remains unquestionable. He also hinted at further enhancements, including additional personnel and infrastructural developments such as a new police station in La Manga, which is expected to be operational by this summer, ultimately enhancing service to both officers and the community.
