The Human Resources Department of Orihuela has announced the hiring of forty-five new workers to enhance street cleaning and municipal waste collection, known as RSU, during the summer season. The new recruits will begin their roles on the twenty-fourth of June and continue until the fourteenth of September.

These workers will provide vital support, particularly focusing on the city’s outskirts and coastal areas, which see a significant increase in population during the summer months. Agustina Rodríguez, the councillor overseeing this initiative, highlighted the importance of this recruitment drive.

Rodríguez stated that these hires are part of a strategic plan by the local government to ensure that public services maintain high standards throughout the peak summer activity period. This proactive approach aims to meet the growing demands of residents and visitors alike.
