Two men were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, the thirteenth of May, after local police discovered them inside a vehicle with clear signs of having been broken into. The officers were conducting routine patrols when they noticed a car parked in unusual circumstances. Upon investigation, they found two individuals inside, prompting further examination due to indications of tampering, including broken glass.

Maria del Carmen Guevara, the Police Councillor for Los Alcázares, noted that one of the suspects attempted unsuccessfully to hide an electronic key beneath his shoe. This behaviour, coupled with the visible signs of forced entry, raised significant suspicions among the officers on the scene.

Following the unfolding situation, the Local Police contacted the Civil Guard to verify the vehicle’s legal status. Their investigations confirmed that the car was indeed reported stolen, originating from Torre Pacheco.

The two men have since been handed over to the Civil Guard for further processing and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the theft. Authorities continue to encourage the public to report any suspicious activity in their areas.
