This morning, a dead whale calf was discovered on Playa del Alamillo beach in Mazarrón, prompting the response of Civil Protection and Emergency services. The animal, identified as a Cuvier’s beaked whale, one of the rarest species in the Region of Murcia, was removed using a crane due to its size and weight, despite being a young calf.
