The City Council of Almoradí has scheduled a Security Board meeting for Tuesday, the sixth of May, to discuss increasing police presence on local streets. The aim is to strengthen crime prevention efforts and ensure enhanced safety during the town’s forthcoming Fair and Festivals. Key topics will also include improving collaboration between the Civil Guard and Local Police.

The Security Board comprises the Government Subdelegation, Local Police, National Police, Civil Guard, Mayor María Gómez, and Councillor for Security José Antonio Latorre. Attendees will review recent safety data and discuss effective measures already in place within the local safety enhancement framework.

In line with these efforts, the Security area is progressing with the second phase of its video surveillance camera installation, with already sixty operational cameras strategically located around the municipality. Furthermore, the City Council is actively working on staffing for four police official positions, the creation of an inspector position, and hiring over ten Local Police agents, all budgeted and expected to be realised in coming months.

Mayor Gómez emphasised the importance of the Security Board in progressing citizen security, traffic safety, and community improvement. She noted, “This initiative directly supports our Reinforcement Plan, significantly increasing police visibility on the streets of Almoradí.”
