Maritime Rescue services rescued a small migrant boat carrying 19 people off the coast of Cabo de Palos, in the Region of Murcia, on Thursday afternoon.
The boat was found adrift about 12 miles from the coast. A vehicle transport ship spotted the vessel and stayed in the area until the Salvamar Draco rescue boat arrived.
The migrants were taken to the port of Cartagena. The rescue was reported on 3 September 2026, with the latest update issued at 21:02.
