Maintenance work is intensifying in Torrevieja as the municipality prepares the outdoor areas of its schools for the start of the new academic year. Teams are working in gardens, playgrounds and other external spaces so they are ready to welcome pupils back.
The work includes pruning and trimming trees and hedges, mowing, clearing vegetation, cleaning and carrying out general maintenance. These measures are intended to improve the appearance and usability of the areas, while helping provide pupils with clean, well-maintained and safe spaces during the school day.
The work is particularly important after the summer months, when high temperatures can encourage vegetation to grow more quickly. Teams will continue working progressively across the municipality’s schools during the coming week, addressing the specific needs of each site before classes resume.
