Spain’s National Police have arrested three men aged 20, 21 and 46 in Orihuela over two separate investigations into violent robberies. One suspect is accused of attacking three women and stealing their handbags, while two others allegedly assaulted a man and took his personal belongings.

The first investigation followed reports from three women. In separate incidents, the suspect allegedly pulled a handbag from one woman as she entered her home, pushed an elderly woman to the ground and stole her bag, and followed another woman before taking hers during a struggle. Investigators linked the attacks through their similarities and arrested the man after identifying him.

In the second case, two men allegedly approached a man as he walked along a street. One suspect used a chokehold from behind, causing the victim to fall, after which both men allegedly hit him. One of them reportedly pulled a chain from his neck and took his mobile phone.

Police later identified and arrested the two suspects. Following police procedures, all three men have been brought before Orihuela’s duty investigating court.
