The Gold Show TKO Radio
Work on the expansion of the Virgen del Pilar state school in Los Montesinos is progressing, with the new spaces beginning to take shape. The mayor, José Manuel Butrón, and education councillor Rosa Belén Morán visited the site last week with the project team and representatives of the company carrying out the work.
The project, funded through the regional Plan Edificant programme, represents an investment of nearly €3 million. It includes three new nursery classrooms and six primary classrooms, along with an enlarged kitchen and dining hall and other improvements across the school.
The expansion aims to meet the needs of Los Montesinos’ growing population and provide larger, more modern facilities. The council expects the work to be completed in 2027 and has thanked school leaders, teachers, pupils and families for helping educational activities continue during construction.
