Four armed men have robbed an armoured van that was transporting the takings from several gaming establishments in Mazarrón. The robbery took place at about 6.30am on Tuesday at a roundabout near the exit for the AP-7, close to Puerto de Mazarrón, according to sources in the Guardia Civil.
The robbers had reportedly been waiting at the roundabout before stopping the vehicle. They threatened its occupants with pistols and escaped with thousands of euros from the establishments’ collections. The Guardia Civil is investigating the robbery and searching for the suspects.
